Pictures from Anime Expo 2008 Day 0 are up. I wanted to put something up although I have much more work ahead of me.
It’s been two three days already since AX08 and I still have to adjust Day 1 - 4 pictures in Lightroom 2.0 beta before posting.
I had a blast at AX this year. Truely, the most fun I have during the year is AX.  The Shuttle system worked well, I did not have to stay in line for any longer then an hour for anything, and I met/photographed many people and friends from the Net. I’ll post more later but for now, here is the link to my AX Gallery.
SDCC Seras Victoria Figure Photo Shoot
Pictures I took of the lovely Seras Victoria figure from the Hellsing manga and OVA (Ultimate), San Diego Comic Con edition. This is the second Seras Victoria photo shoot I’ve done, the first one was with the production black/burgundy figure and can be found here.
This is a limited edition, SDCC 2005 figure has become quite hard to find due to its low production run. The silver/white metallic looks great in sunlight.

Here is a font that looks much like the Serial Experiments Lain font used in the series logo. It is known as loveletter.
Source: Chiaki J. Konaka’s web site (which uses this font). He is also the scenario writer and story editor of “serial experiments lain”.

Over at www.hobbyfanatics.com is a thread by an amazing scale model builder featuring the Evangelion girls on race bikes in sexy race attire.
I found this some months ago and have read it twice, these sort of threads, known as Work In Progress (WIP) threads always interest me even though I don’t take part in the hobby. Seeing how much work and time goes into these and the creativity the builder has inspires me to do the same, if not building models then something along the lines of complexity and creativity.
Not as good as the Micheal Jackson dance they’ve done but still fun. See link below, apparently this is a co-ed prison.

[thumb:1681:l] After watching two episodes of the horror/mystery Anime ‘When They Cry’ at ComicCon I had to see more! So I rented When They Cry Vol. 1 and was instantly hooked. Seriously, I haven’t been as creeped out as I was while watching this DVD in a long time.
I added the other currently released volumes to my rental queue but the status is set to ‘coming soon’… I then realize that ‘When They Cry’ IS A GENEON TITLE! That never ‘clicked’ before today.
So, not only has my favorite Anime company gone out of business in the US (kinda) but I’m hooked on one of their current titles, they have the license to the second season too and have released only the first 3 volumes (1st season total).
I need this…
